The Temperature Bottles, also called Thermic Bottles, isolate touch from sight entirely. Eight bottles, four matching pairs, are made of chrome-plated copper, a material chosen specifically for how efficiently it conducts heat, and each bottle is deliberately identical in appearance to its neighbours. With no visual difference to rely on, the child must pair and grade the bottles from hot to cold using touch alone, held securely in a wooden tray with screw-on tops that keep the water sealed and the temperatures stable during work.

This is one of the more demanding sensorial exercises, requiring the child to hold a temperature in memory while comparing it against another bottle picked up moments later. The result is a genuinely refined thermic sense, the ability to notice and discriminate subtle differences in warmth, alongside the concentration and sequencing skills that transfer directly to later mathematical and scientific reasoning.
