Geometry Cabinet

Description

The Geometry Cabinet is the Montessori classroom’s definitive introduction to plane geometry: a beautifully polished wooden cabinet of six drawers, each holding a family of geometric insets finished in blue with a small knob, set within a yellow frame for clear visual contrast.

Across the six drawers sit thirty-two shapes in total: six circles of increasing diameter; a set of quadrilaterals, namely rhombus, parallelogram, trapezium, and trapezoid, alongside two blank control squares; six triangles of varying angles; a full set of regular polygons from pentagon through decagon; four curvilinear figures, namely ellipse, oval, curvilinear triangle, and rosette, again with two blank squares; and six right-angled quadrilaterals, five rectangles and one square.
